Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) recently unveiled it first tablet offering and it appears that the company may be getting ready to introduce the Windows Phone 8. The invitation for the developer’s summit in San Francisco was released by the company around a month ago and it seems that the company has remained mum on its upcoming plans. However reports have hinted at what the company is set to unveil in the coming days.
It may be possible that Microsoft will be introducing the Windows Phone 8. The company has announced that the next version of the Windows Phone OS will have the capability of supporting multi-core processors, which would require a software that will allow it to work efficiently.
But it may be necessary for developers to be able to create a code that supports a multi-threading process. It is anticipated that support for multi-core processors to be officially announced by the company soon. With the increasing use of near field communication, it is anticipated that Microsoft will also include NFC support even as the software and hardware may become more flexible.

Reports have also hinted that the phone-to-PC software update will be enhanced by the company although some observers have indicated that it may serve the company well to shift to cloud-based services and discard the use of tethering a handset to a desktop.
It may be of interest to some industry watchers if some of the components of the upcoming Windows Phone platform will be introduced by the company in the same way that some parts of the BlackBerry 10 platform was introduced by Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) during its developer conference last May.
However some industry watchers have doubts on the possible announcement of a new phone from Windows. Coders are normally more akin to back-end tools that make their jobs easier and with minimal stress.
It may disappoint some observers if the company will introduce a developer tool for Windows Phone 8 while introducing some applications from its partners. However since the event is considered as a developer summit, it may be possible for this to happen.
