The recent unfortunate incident of cyber hack suffered by the PlayStation network is no longer needs. What is news however is the fact that speculations are rife that many PlayStation network adherents are planning to deflect to Xbox 360 in an apparent protest. While this is a very unfortunate incident for all concerned it could be argued on either side. Looking at it from the angle of millions of people who must be gravely concerned about the safety of their details with the physician network, it'll be really difficult for them to trust the giant again. This is one of those incidents that Sony wished never happened.
But like with any interested as always is the concept and the state is looking at it from the side of PlayStation network who are the obvious losers in the current incident. As it trusted network that must've put systems in place to make sure that it does not happen but unfortunately this is going to prove once again that no particular system is impervious.
The recent pledges of Sony PlayStation network of the appointment of two security officer and move into a new data center plus a number of other states like improved fireworks after all been waived as an olive branch to obviously angry users.
In a move showing deep remorse and magnanimity the PlayStation network has even offered to cover the cost of card replacement for everyone involved in the unfortunate incident. Whether or not this will affect their decision of these folks to switch to Xbox 360 or not is difficult to predict. It is ever important to look at base with understanding for both the PlayStation at work and millions of users who have been placed at risk.
The case of the PlayStation network readily brings to mind the recent incident happened with Blippy which many which many users would love to forget.
