How you can get VERY rich during times of economic turmoil, even if you don't have a lot of money to invest...Watch the Video
While there have been plenty of enhancements in usual Smartphone features like battery life, processing speed and screen type, all these will be useless if the device accidentally falls in water as it will damage it internally. This problem may be potentially addressed by Apple in its upcoming version of the iPhone. News has it, that the iPhone 5 is set to become a waterproof phone.
Apple has clearly emphasized that the warranty of its present devices will be void in case it is damaged. As such, it has installed water sensors in its phones so that it will know if the problem is a result of water immersion. But, Apple is set to avoid this problem by waterproofing the iPhone 5.
This may be made possible by the use of an interesting technology called the WaterBlock. The technology was introduced by HzO in the recent CES and it won the innovations award in the recently concluded event. WaterBlock allows the electronic parts of devices to be concealed on a nano-scale.
The WaterBlock-treated device has an invisible layer that will keep water away and prevent it from seeping through. The WaterBlock's film is made of organic and non-toxic material that does not let water stay on its surface. The entire technology does not add weight to the device so a WaterBlock treated or non-treated phone will actually weigh the same.
If Apple puts this technology in their devices especially in the soon to come iPhone 5, it will be able to spare itself from plenty of after-sales support that deal with immersion problems. But, Apple should move fast to be the first one to use this technology. Otherwise, it will lose this potentially exciting, attractive and new SmartPhone feature to its competitors like Samsung.
A waterproof iPhone 5 is something to look forward to. The WaterBlock technology in the new iPhone 5 will surely lead to a completely awesome water resistant device.
