Vodio App Unique Offer to iPhone Users

How you can get VERY rich during times of economic turmoil, even if you don't have a lot of money to invest...Watch the Video

Vodio is a new iOS app that brings videos shared by its users' social networking site friends. As such, it is similar to Shelby.tv. But, it is unique from Shelby because it brings a hint of customization to the videos it recommends and allows the users to view what the crowd is watching.

To start using the app, the users need to configure it around their interests by providing information on the video categories that they love to watch such as Entertainment, Comedy, Movies, News, Music, Sports, Science and a lot more. They can further narrow down the categories by selecting sub-groups that correspond to their interests and customize these to their preferred sources. For example if a user choose Sports, he can further select Basketball, Soccer or Tennis and specify if he wants to obtain it from sports channels like UFC or Fox Sports.

Everything is great except for a noticeable and minor flaw of the app which is the inability to uncheck the sources of the content once they have already been selected. Although it is designed not to allow categories to be unchecked, changes can still be made by going into the Edit mode and removing them.

Aside from some minor complaints, all the other interface of Vodio looks good and entertaining to use. To transfer from channel to channel users need to horizontally swipe the app and then vertically scroll to check out the videos contained in each channel. On top of the social networking connections and personalization, the app also shows the top and hot picks on the different video sharing platforms as well as from the best media publishers.

Video sources are TV shows, comedy sites, networks, newspapers, NASA, movie trailers, newswires, blogs, music videos and many more. However, the only players being supported at the moment are Vimeo, YouTube, Facebook Video, Dailymotion and AOL Video.
Vodio Labs Ltd., the maker of Vodio, was founded In Tel Aviv, Israel by Jonathan Messika, Ishay Weinstock and Uri Twig in the early parts of 2011. In July of the same year, it came up with a 200K Euro seed round headed by Kima Ventures with the participation of Orefa Investment and Jaina Capital.

The company is presently working on simplifying the personalization process and channel set up, adding more features that are video-driven such as HD enabling and merging with premium content players.
