Verizon Offers Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G for Only $49

As of now, the only carrier that offers Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G is Verizon Wireless. It was first offered in the month of December in the previous year, and more importantly, it was the first smartphone to have the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. That description is enough to make high sales for both Samsung and Verizon. However, Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G still offers a lot of features that makes it attractive like any other device in the 4G smartphone market.

There are speculations indicating that the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will be offered by Sprint WiMAX 4G soon. In order to be able to better compete with Sprint, Verizon reduced Samsung Galaxy Nexus' retail price to an affordable price of $49 which already comes with an activation and data agreement contract of 2 years in selected stores.

That reduced retail price does not result to a lower quality Galaxy Nexus 4G. In fact, it still offers the most user-friendly 4G wireless network. Because Samsung Galaxy Nexus offers 4G LTE capabilities, it allows users to simultaneously access data without an effect on the speeds. Users also have voice access and noise canceling technology, microphone and speakerphone that allows users to voice dial and perform other voice commands without using their hands.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus 4G has slightly heavy weight and features a big screen display which is a Super AMOLED screen of 4.65 inches. It also offers 720 x 1280 display resolution at 316 pixels an inch. It has a 1,850 mAh battery that provides users 12 hours of battery life.

In addition, its hardware components include an OMAP 4460 chipset of Texas instruments, together with a 1.2 GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor and a PowerVR SGX540 chip which is in charge of the graphics. To complete, it has 1.0 GB RAM memory and 32GB storage capacity.

Some of its other features are 5-megapixel rear camcorder, which offers 1080P HD video recording, and 1.3-megapixel front camera, which supports video calls. Moreover, Samsung Galaxy Nexus is one of the few smartphones which currently features NFC technology.
