After winning 82 tournaments over the course of the past 14 years, it is hard to believe that it has been over a year since Tiger Woods has won a tournament.
Tiger Woods is at the Dubai Classic this week and he is constantly telling his critics that his game in constantly in the improvement stage and it should not be long until he is back at the top of the leaderboard.
Tiger Woods finished in 44th place in his season debut in San Diego two weeks ago at Torrey Pines, a place where he is known to dominate. Still, Tiger says that he is getting over the setbacks of the past two seasons and he is looking to make a big comeback in 2011.
'Sean (Foley, Tiger Woods' swing coach) and I, we are sticking to our game plan and we are working on improving my game week after week. There are good things that happened when I played at Torrey Pines and this week we will work on fixing the things that I struggled with' said Tiger Woods.
Tiger Woods is currently ranked third in the world but the Dubai Classic is a tournament that he has faired well at over the past years. Woods won here in 2006 and 2008 and has always finished in the top ten in the years that he has competed in the tournament. Woods played in a pro-am tournament on Wednesday and told reporters that he is eager for the tournament to get started.
'The greens here are pretty firm and I am ready for the tournament to get started. They were soft this morning but once the sun comes out they will back to their normal form and I will be ready to play' said Woods.
