It appears that owners of the Motorola Droid Bionic will have to wait a little bit longer for the Android 4.0 update. The upgrade page of Motorola (NYSE:MMI) was updated recently and it appears that it will not be good news for owners of the Motorola Droid Bionic. The update page showed that the device will be receiving the software update in the third quarter of the year.
This means that owners of the Motorola Droid Bionic will have to wait for at least one a half months before their devices are update. The update timeline also confirms the longer wait for owners of the Motorola Droid Bionic.

Motorola Droid Bionic
Owners will have to wait until after June before they can expect the Android 4.0 update to be released to their Motorola Droid Bionic units, which means that the release windows will be from July until September of this year.
In contrast, owners of the Motorola Droid Razr and the Motorola Droid Razr Maxx will be receiving the software update within the current quarter. This means that owners of these newer Motorola devices will only have to wait for one and a half months before they will receive the Android 4.0 update.
The report follows earlier reports that informed owners of the Motorola Droid Bionic to wait for a long time wince the Android 4.0 build has yet to be leaked.
A leaked update normally gives indications that an internal testing is already being undertaken but no such leaked Android 4.0 update was released for the Motorola Droid Bionic, which is the first dual core smartphone of Verizon (NYSE:VZ ) that features 4G LTE network support.
In addition to the Motorola Droid Bionic, owners of the Motorola Droid 4 will also have to wait until the third quarter before the Android 4.0 will be released to their devices.
For now owners of both the Motorola Droid Bionic and the Motorola Droid 4 will have to exercise more patience before they will be receiving the Android 4.0 update for their respective devices.
