Telstra to Offer HTC One XL in Australia

The upcoming HTC One XL will reportedly become available in the Australian market soon and it will be offered through the 4G network of Telstra (ASX:TLS). The announcement follows the release of the HTC Titan 4G into the same market. The upcoming HTC One XL is latest smartphone offering of HTC (TPE:2498) and it follows the release of the HTC One X flagship smartphone of the company and it offers support for 4G networks and is being introduced in collaboration with Telstra whose LTE network will be used for the device.

The upcoming HTC One XL features a dual-core processor, which makes it less powerful compared to the quad-core processor of the HTC One X. In comparison to the One X, the upcoming HTC One XL offers a smaller internal storage of 16GB. In contrast the One X comes with an internal storage of 32GB.

However both the upcoming HTC One XL and the One X will come a 4.7-inch screen with the Gorilla Glass protection, Android 4.0, and the HTC Sense 4 custom user interface. The upcoming HTC One XL will also feature an 8MP camera that is capable of recording 1080p HD videos. It also has a 1.3MP camera in front that is capable of recording 720p videos.

Pre-orders for the upcoming HTC One XL will be accepted by Telstra and it will be available in the market by June 5. The upcoming device will be available for business users through the business mobile advantage plan of Telstra at $90 plus a monthly $3 repayment for the handset for a period of two years.

Consumers can also purchase the upcoming HTC One XL using the freedom connect plan of Telstra at $59 with a $6 monthly fee for the repayment of the handset for a period of two years.

A Beats Solo headphone set will be available for the first 300 customers to pre-order the upcoming HTC One XL.
