The release of the MacBook Air of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) had raised the interest of the consumers in super-light and super-thin laptops. However the MacBook Air was not the first such device to be released into the market. Similar windows laptops were also developed by the rivals of Apple including Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) and Sony (NYSE:SNE).
