The handset was announced last January and it seems that it has already been forgotten. The arrival of other handsets like the Droid Razr Maxx of Motorola and the ever famous iPhone of Apple is a major reason for the Thunderbolt’s low profile.

Motorola is beginning to improve its smartphone line and it looks like it is making its way to battle its mobile market rivals. The initial information that came out said that Verizon Wireless will offer a Droid RAZR in blue color and that was confirmed by a photo seen by a source online. This was supported by the Verizon Network’s spec sheet which shows that the Droid Razr will be offered very soon for a sale price of $149 under a new contract of two years.

As a follow up to the initial details on the first Android-based phone of Samsung for Straight Talk, the offer was finally unveiled and a confirmation was given that the handset will rely on the 3G non roaming prepaid coverage of Verizon for its service through the carrier’s unlimited service plans for one month that amounts to $45 and $60.

Since the middle parts of November 2011, Verizon has been the sole carrier of the Galaxy Nexus 4G smart phone and has beaten their competition by offering the Android handset to consumers for a very low price which is almost ¼ of the phone’s initial cost via Sprint.
