Nick Bilton of the New York Times recently reported that Facebook is aiming to launch its own smartphone by 2013. The sources of Bilton include employees of facebook and some engineers sought out by recruiters.

Some of the features of the Nova 4.0 V8000 include a 1.4 GHz one core Snapdragon processor of Qualcomm, a RAM of 1 GB RAM, a camera of 8 megapixels, a screen display of 4-inches with a pixel resolution of 800 x 480 and a battery of 1,900 mAh.

It appears that LG is already working on a smartphone that may go up against the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3, the LG D1L. The possible features of the upcoming smartphone offering of LG include a 4.7-inch HD display screen with a resolution of 1280 by 720, the Snapdragon 4 processor and 4G LTE support.
