Kentucky Derby Ready to Run on Saturday

Kentucky Derby

The first Saturday in May for the last 137 years has been a time where the best three year old thoroughbred horses in the United States and the world have come together at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky for the Run for the Roses and the Kentucky Derby. The fanfare will be the same this year as a 20 horse field will come together and have the sports world waiting in anticipation to see if there will be a Triple Crown winner. There has not been a Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978 when the jockey on board was Steve Cauthen.
