According to reports, the Sony Vaio S Series will come with the quad-core version of the Ivy Bridge processor of Intel. For the moment the dual-core version of the Ivy Bridge processor has yet to be released into the market.

The Ivy Bridge processors of Intel are set to be featured on the 2012 versions of some of the M-series gaming laptops of Alienware. Aside from the latest Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) processors, the M14X, the M17X and the M18X gaming laptops of Alienware will also feature the latest graphics cards from Nvidia (NASDAQ:NVDA) as well as the mSATA SSD drives.

Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) announced recently that it is set to offer six desktops that will use the latest Ivy Bridge processors from Intel (NASDAQ:INTC). The upcoming PCs are all-in-one devices with the HP Pavilion HPE h9t Phoenix set to be available on April 29 with a price tag of $1,149. The other PCs with the Ivy Bridge processor are not expected to be available on June 24.

Acer (TPE:2353) recently announced that it aims to launch its own line of ultrabooks and notebooks that will feature the Ivy Bridge processors of Intel (NASDAQ:INTC). The third-generation Core processors of Intel are the latest flagship CPU of the company, which was unveiled by the company recently. The recently unveiled Ivy Bridge processors will come in several versions that will be released into the market by the company.
