Reports Point to Android 5.0 on Google Nexus Tablet

A number of reports have emerged on the upcoming Google Nexus tablet recently and among the more recent reports have hinted at the possibility that the upcoming device will feature the Jelly Bean Android or the Android 5.0 OS. The Google Nexus tablet is expected to be introduced during the upcoming I/O conference of Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) that is scheduled to be held from June 27 to June 29. All participants in the event will reportedly receive a developer unit of the device with the upcoming Android 5.0 OS.

Reports Point to July Release of Google Nexus Tablet

Google Nexus tablet may be available in the market by July according to sources within the supply chain. Earlier reports have pointed to Asus (TPE:2357) as the manufacturer of the upcoming Google Nexus tablet, which was supposed to be released by May. However it appears that it will be delivered by June and released into the market in July.

Google Nexus Tablet to Be Introduced by June

Reports have given indications that the upcoming Google Nexus tablet may be introduced by Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) during the upcoming I/O conference that is scheduled to start on June 27 in San Francisco. A trusted source was supposedly the source on the report on the upcoming introduction of the upcoming Google Nexus tablet. According to the reports, one unit of the upcoming device will be given to all developers who will be attending the event.

Asus to Manufacture Google Nexus Tablet

Latest reports have indicated that the Google Nexus tablet is still going to be released into the market although the date remains uncertain. The device will also be cheaper compared to the Kindle Fire of Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN). However it appears that the upcoming Google Nexus tablet may be manufactured by Asus (TPE:2357) instead of Samsung, which produced the Samsung Nexus S and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for Google (NASDAQ:GOOG).
