Five years ago, the latest user interface of the Apple TV was discarded by the late Steve Jobs, according to a former engineer from Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). According to Michael Margolis in a tweet that he was a former senior software engineer before he left the company in 2008. With the passing of Steve Jobs, no one will reject bad designs anymore in the company, Margolis revealed. Steve Jobs reportedly rejected the Apple TV designs since he did not like them.

The latest version of the Apple TV was introduced by Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) at the same event where the new iPad was unveiled. The latest model of the Apple TV will feature 1080p video support along with a re-designed user interface. The new UI on the device comes with buttons that feature movies, music, TV shows, computers, podcasts, trailers and the setting. These buttons on the new Apple TV appear similar to that of iOS devices and they are displayed on its home screen.
