The special Olympic edition Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Y will feature a backing that celebrates the participation of the United Kingdom in the Olympics.
Earlier reports have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy SIII will be the official smartphone of the games. The Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Y will come in two different versions. One version will feature the Union Jack flag of the country while the second version will feature the logo of Team Great Britain, which is a lion in blue and red.

Consumers who will purchase the special Olympic edition Samsung Galaxy Note and Samsung Galaxy Y will have the chance to win tickets for an event in the Olympics, tickets for the training camp of Team Great Britain or the celebration event of Team Great Britain. The training camp and the celebration event will be held in the same month as the Olympic Games.
The Samsung Galaxy Note will reportedly bring in more interest among consumers due to its better features and the upcoming release of the Ice Cream Sandwich Android update. The device features a 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 800 by 1280, a dual-core processor, eight-megapixel rear-facing camera and a two-megapixel front-facing camera. Recent reports have also indicated that the Ice Cream Sandwich Android update for the Samsung Galaxy Note was already released into the market.
A pink-colored version of the Samsung Galaxy Note is also expected to be released into the UK market by June.
