Samsung will launch its most recent addition to its Galaxy smartphone line which is the Galaxy S3. The handset is set to be unveiled in a London event on the 3rd of May. In connection to this, the Korean handset manufacturer has stirred up excitement by giving out invitations containing the phrase "Come and meet the next Galaxy" indicating that the upcoming device in its most famous smartphone series will be introduced at the event.
Many have been anticipating the third handset in the Galaxy S smartphone line. Samsung even managed to take people's attention out of Apple by building the hype and speculations around its new smartphone several months before its release.
In spite of rumors, real details about the Samsung Galaxy S3 have been kept in secret for many months. In fact, the main carriers were only given a plain box that reveals the screen and ports in order to keep the final design confidential before its official launch. The strategy has been working since the fans and users of the Galaxy handsets have been highly anticipating the release of the main rival of Apple's next generation iPhone, the iPhone 5.
Apple is also expected to unveil its sixth generation smartphone in its iPhone line in the latter parts of this year which will most likely be in the month of June or October.
Samsung has made a commitment that the launch and release date of the Galaxy S3 will be closer together. As such, the device may possibly reach the hands of Samsung users and fans in the middle parts of May.
The most recent rumors sorrounding the Galaxy S3 say that the handset will have a quad core processor and a display screen made of Gorilla Glass 2. Moreover, rumors also state that it could have wireless charging capabilities, 4G LTE and a unique casing made of special ceramic.
