Those who have been waiting for the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) of Samsung will be pleased to know that it is already on sale at Blightly so that can already go to Carphone Warehouse to obtain one. However, on the other side of the news, those who want to own the white version may still have to wait for several more days. The 8GB Wi-Fi-only model of the Galaxy Tab 2 can be purchased at £199.
That price is way cheaper compared to the most affordable Wi-fi only iPad 2 which is priced at £329 even though Apple's tablet has a larger screen and two times the storage. The upcoming tablet of Google is also anticipated to be a Wi-fi only version with a screen of 7 inches and a price which is below £200. This tablet could possibly be a tough competitor of Samsung's low cost tablet.
The Galaxy Tab 2 runs under Android's latest operating system, the 4.0 version also known as the Ice Cream Sandwich or ICS. With the most recent OS, the device has certain features exclusive to the ICS like Face Unlock, a feature that allows the user to lock a device by simply facing the screen.

Inside the Galaxy Tab 2 is a two-core processor of 1 GHz, a processor that is slower than majority of high end smartphones. However, the quality of the processor may be difficult to notice unless the device is used for activities that are heavy on graphics such as playing games. The Samsung tab also has a RAM of 1 GB. Moreover, it has a rear camera of 3 MP and a front camera utilized for video calls.
The Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) fits in the Galaxy family of the Korean electronics giant with its other tablets having 7.7-inch, 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch size. Those who want a smaller device can always opt for the 5-inch Galaxy Note and the 4.8-inch Galaxy S3.
Although some were not very impressed by their hands on experience because there are better tablets available. However, the Galaxy Tab 2's performance is decent enough. Moreover, for those who want a device with the ICS OS without having to spend a lot, then this is the perfect device for them.
