The Galaxy S3 of Samsung is expected to be in direct competition with several handsets including HTC One X, Motorola Droid Razr Maxx, iPhone 4S and LG Viper. Moreover, in case rumors that it will be released in June truly occur, then it may further find itself battling the Motorola Droid Fighter and even the iPhone 5. But, as the upcoming Samsung smartphone get more hype compared to any other current handset of Android, it seems that the famous Korean device manufacturer can be confident about its status but needs to be careful at the same time.
Even months before its release, the Samsung Galaxy S3 had already been getting plenty of publicity that is why expectations of customers have been soaring high. Because of this, there is a possibility that Samsung may not be able to meet the expectations of its patrons and users.
What this is trying to say is that the hype that it is currently getting may also be the same reason for its probable failure in case it comes out to lack any revolutionary upgrade.
According to several reports, UK's telecom industry said that the Galaxy S3 will most probably boast of its speed and will feature an eye tracking technology. But, it also mentioned the possibility that the upgrades in the handset will only be very minimal compared to its predecessors and its features will be very much the same as the One X of HTC.
This may imply that there may be a small chance that Samsung will not launch a Galaxy S3 handset with plenty of redesigns. In fact, if it really does resemble the One X, it may mean that its features may not be very impressive as the HTC handset only have the 8 MP camera, 1 GB RAM and 1080p display screen. All these specs are not even close to the rumored features of the Galaxy S3.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is also speculated to have a different name just like the third generation iPad which was eventually labeled as the new iPad instead of the expected iPad 3.
