Reports Point to June Apple Event for Launch of iPhone 5

Reports about the iPhone 5 of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) have filled much of the time of smartphone users and the latest reports have pointed to a June launch of the next version of the Apple iPhone. The reports have mentioned that the iPhone 5 will be announced by Apple during the Worldwide Developers Conference of Apple, which is scheduled to be held sometime in June. These reports supposedly came from a newspaper in China which pointed to analysts from Daiwa Securities.

The supposed schedule of the WWDC, where the iPhone 5 will supposedly be launched, is from June 10 up to June 15. These reports follow earlier speculations which indicate that the next version of the Apple iPhone will be released during the summer. A supposed dependable source within Foxconn was supposedly gave the information on the earlier reports. It also indicated that some models of the Apple iPhone 5 were already circulating within Apple.

If these reports on the iPhone 5 are accurate, it would signify that the company is going back to the old June schedule in the release of the new models of the iPhone. The iPhone 4S was released sometime in October of last year.

The reports also point to a display screen of at least four inches and the design will reportedly be different from the previous model of the device including the iPhone 4S. The modifications on the design of the iPhone 5 are both for its width and length.

According to the analyst from Daiwa Securities, the glass-to-glass-panel technology will reportedly be used on the iPhone 5 which would be welcomed by the suppliers of the touch panel for Apple. These suppliers of the touch panel for Apple include Wintek and TPK Holding.

With the June release of the iPhone 5, users who acquired the iPhone 4 last June 2010 will have the opportunity to acquire the device since the two-year service contract already end. Users who acquired the iPhone 4S during its October launch have the option to break their contract or to wait until it ends before they will be able to get their hands on the iPhone 5.
