Release of 4G LTE Model of Asus Transformer Pad 300 Coming Soon

Following the release of the Wi-Fi model of the Asus Transformer Pad 300 into the market, the 4G LTE model has reportedly reached the FCC already. The FCC filing for the Asus (NASDAQ:NVDA) device, which will be dubbed as the Asus Transformer Pad 300TL, will indicate that the device may be released into the market soon. The previous model of the device did not have the letter L at the end, which indicates that the upcoming device will feature LTE capabilities.

However it appears that the recent filing for the Asus Transformer Pad 300TL does not reveal much information on the upcoming device which will reportedly be compatible with the 4G LTE network of AT&T (NYSE:T).

The filing also did not give any hints on the processor or even the possible release date of the upcoming Asus Transformer Pad 300TL.

Even though the Wi-Fi model of the Asus Transformer Pad 300 features a quad-core Tegra 3 processor from Nvidia, Nvidia had indicated that the Tegra 3 device that will feature LTE connectivity will not be introduced into the market until 2013. Due to this the processor of the Asus Transformer Pad 300TL remains uncertain.

However some industry watchers have hinted that the device may still carry some of the other features of the earlier model in addition to LTE connectivity.

Basing on the Wi-Fi model of the Asus Transformer Pad 300, the LTE model may feature a ten-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 by 800, 8MP camera at the back and 1.2MP camera in front, The device may also come with a 1GB RAM and suitable battery life. The Asus Transformer Pad 300TL may also feature 3G and Bluetooth connectivity, GPS and a number of ports including an SD memory card slot that will allow the internal storage of the device to be expanded.

It is only a matter of time before the release date of the Asus Transformer Pad 300TL will be officially announced.
