Price of MacBook Pro Reduced at Best Buy

The recent reduction in the price of the MacBook Pro of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) at Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) has resulted to speculations on the upcoming release of the latest model of the device. According to reports, the price of the MacBook Pro was reduced by at least $100 with the 15.4-inch MacBook Pro seeing a price reduction of nearly $200 from its original price. This move by Best Buy resulted to increased anticipation for the release of the latest model of the laptop from Apple.

It may be possible that the new model of the MacBook Pro will be introduced by Apple during the Worldwide Developer Conference that will be held on June 11. The last time a reduction in the price of an Apple product by Best Buy was last February when the price of the iPad 2 was reduced by around $50. The reduction was made prior to the release of the new iPad, which was introduced after one week.

Reports about the upcoming MacBook Pro 2012 have emerged in recent months hinted at a slimmer and more powerful device. These reports have also revealed that the upcoming version of the device will feature the same retina display that is currently being used on the new iPad. The display of the upcoming model of the device will feature a resolution of around 2046 by 1536.

Some sources who had some knowledge on the new line of MacBook Pro devices have indicated that the display is quite notable. Aside from the better display on the upcoming version of the MacBook Pro, the device will reportedly use the new Ivy Bridge architecture of Intel as well as a couple of USB 3.0 ports.

The upcoming model of the MacBook Pro will reportedly feature a similar design as the MacBook Air of Apple as it will supposedly remove the optical drive from the upcoming device.
