The EXIF data were reportedly posted on Picasa by an employee from Motorola which revealed that the upcoming Droid Razr HD will substantiate the availability of a device that combines an HD touchscreen display with the Motorola Droid Razr.
It remains uncertain if the upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD will make an impact in the market considering the fact that the Droid Razr and Droid Razr Maxx of Verizon (NYSE:VZ) did not receive rave reviews due to its qHD screen.
However with its HD screen display and the Android 4.0 OS may allow the upcoming Droid Razr HD to offer more features than the earlier versions of the Razr handsets of Motorola.
Speculations have emerged that hinted at the release of the upcoming device within the quarter. The upcoming Droid Razr HD may also use the 4G LTE network of Verizon and it may be able to go head-to-head with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3.
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to be introduced by Samsung in the coming month and reports have hinted that it will feature a new design, new camera sensor and an HD screen display. Reports have also hinted that the upcoming smartphone from Samsung will also use the Android 4.0, similar to that of the Droid Razr HD.
The Droid Razr HD is expected to have a screen resolution of 720p, which is similar to that of the HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
Some industry watchers are also anticipating a slim design for the upcoming Motorola Droid Razr HD, similar to previous smartphone offerings of the smartphone manufacturer.
