Office Depot Offers 32GB HP TouchPad Units

Following the lead of two other retailers, it appears that Office Depot (NYSE:ODP) is set to offer the 32GB model of the HP TouchPad at a price tag of around $150 when customers purchase any PC from HP (NYSE:HPQ). This was recently announced by Office Depot as it celebrated its 25th anniversary recently. The HP TouchPad bundle will reportedly be offered by Black Friday at the nationwide retail store outlets of the company.

The 32GB model of the HP TouchPad features a 9.7-inch display, a virtual keyboard as well as Adobe Flash Player support. The company has indicated that the HP TouchPad will be an ideal gift for a wide array of users including frequent travelers and tech-savvy individuals. According to the merchandising head of Office Depot, Farla Efros, the company is pleased in bringing back the HP TouchPad into the market prior to the holidays.

The bundled price of the 32GB model of the HP TouchPad is reportedly reasonable for the customers of Office Depot who aim to acquire the tablet offering of HP.

The WebOS will reportedly facilitate multi-tasking on the tablet and the user interface will allow users to suitably manage their workspace. The WebOS on the HP TouchPad presents the activities using cards instead of icons which would reportedly facilitate the activities of the users. This also facilitates status updates on Facebook, listening to music as well as chatting.

The Just Type application on the tablet facilitates the creation of messages, updating one’s social status as well as search the net. The device also features a 1.3MP camera in front that can be used in video calling.

The latest bundle offering of Office Depot follows the move of two other retailers which have also bundled the HP TouchPad with other devices while bringing down its price tag. The two other retail outlets that had earlier announced their own bundled offerings of the HP TouchPad are Best Buy (NYSE:BBY) and Wal-Mart (NYSE:WMT).
