Mothers Day Gifts: Moms Prefer IPad on Mothers Day

Techbargains website recently conducted survey shows that Moms will opt to receive an iPad as mothers day gift instead of flowers. However, the same survey shows that not many are thinking of giving an iPad or even any form of gadget to their moms on mothers day. Yet, for those who want to give something a little more special but not as expensive as an iPad, there are tablet deals available especially for mothers day.

In line with the upcoming mothers day, Techbargain, a deal aggregation website, conducted a survey. As expected, the results showed that 91% of mothers will opt for an iPad instead of the usual mothers day flowers. However, the problem with this is that an iPad or any form of gadget is not many people’s mothers day gift idea.

In fact, only 12% of the survey’s participants said that they are planning to give their mothers any of the many kinds of technology gadget available right now. Moreover, 59% of the total respondents said that their mother’s day budget is up to a maximum of $50 only and around 19% said that they do not plan to give anything to their moms on that day.

What the survey results simply show is that even if majority of moms want to be given an iPad, most of them will still end up getting the usual mother’s day flowers, chocolates and/or card on the 13th next week. But, for those who want to grant their mother’s request, the closest compromise is to grab any of the tablet deals that are offered in time for mother’s day.

One of the available deals at the moment is Barnes & Noble’s Nook Color and Nook Simple Touch. Both tablets are offered at $20 off its original price until the 12th which is the day before mother’s day. With the price cut, the Nook Color will be sold for only $149 instead of $169 and the Nook Simple Touch for $79 instead of $99.

For those who were lucky enough to catch the deal, Amazon also made a similar one-day offer of its Kindle Fire. The refurbished version of the popular low-cost tablet of the online retailer was offered last Wednesday at $30 off for a final price of $139 instead of $169.

Lastly, EFUN also offers its affordable Next 7S tablet for those who want to purchase a cheaper alternative to the iPad as their mothers day gifts to their special moms. Although not as popular as the Kindle Fire and the Nook in the low-cost tablet market, EFUN’s Next 7S Android 4.0 OS, 1GHZ processor, front-facing camera, colored multi-touch display, G sensor, 4GB internal memory and micro SD memory card slot make it a great deal that is worth the try for a very affordable price of only $129.99.
