May Release Date for Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is certainly the most talked about Android smartphone for this year. Speculations have been circulating ever since November in the previous year. According to reports, the upcoming Galaxy S3 will feature a 4.6-inch High Definition Super AMOLED III screen, 1.8GHz four-core processor, 2GB RAM, Near Field Communication technology, LTE connectivity, 32GB storage capacity, 2-megapixel front camera, 12-megapixel back camera, and integrate Android’s latest operating system, the Ice Cream Sandwich, together with TouchWiz.

Despite all these almost certain features, the release of Samsung Galaxy S3 is still under speculation. Samsung has been speaking about the probable release dates and giving clues from time to time. However, it is sure to be released on or before the month of June 2012.

The first clue about the release date of Galaxy S3 was when Samsung said to TheVerge that it will be released in the first one-half of 2012.

The second clue came from Samsung’s tweet saying that the public will be informed through Twitter first once there is an official release date. This statement has proven false the speculations that the Galaxy S3 will be privately released in a retail store in London this April.

The third clue is from Kim Young-ha, Samsung’s president for the China region. MK, a South Korean news site, reported that the president said they are planning to move Galaxy S3’s release from May to April. This is so they can sell more units of Galaxy S3 and also Galaxy Note.

Based on these three clues, the public has to wait either until the end of this month or May for the Samsung Galaxy S3. However, since there are still no hints of event bookings or photo leakage and it’s the middle of April already, a late May release is more likely.

At this point, the only speculated release date for Samsung Galaxy S3 that can still be possible is on May 22. This date is connected with a Samsung event to be held in London.
