Latest on iPhone 5 Design and Features

While most speculations have one thing in common, that is, the next iPhone 5 will feature 4G LTE, there are different opinions concerning the design of the iPhone 5. An article posted recently showed a design that was believed to present a great iPhone 5 look. But, it is highly impossible. Based on a recent report, the rumored curved shape design will not be featured in the upcoming smartphone.

iLounge posted the report this week and it stated that the next generation iPhone 5 will feature a 4-inch display. The report was not much of a shock since it has been rumored for a few months already. However, the attractive part of the display is its 16x9 aspect ratio which is similar to that of HDTVs. This indicates that the iPhone 5 display would have a much higher quality than that of the iPhone 4S.

In terms of the iPhone 5's shape, reports state that it will feature a flat rear panel made from a certain kind of metal material which may possibly be the Liquidmetal. However, it is still not definite up to this moment.

Another interesting detail in the report is that the iPhone 5 will come together with Apple's latest dock connector. It was previously reported that the iPhone 5 will come with a micro dock connector. However it has not been stated in present reports.

Although the report did not exactly state whether it will be a micro dock connector or something else, apparently, Apple has plans to modify the connector for the upcoming iPhone 5.

In addition, the real size of the iPhone 5 is stated in the report and it seems that the measurements will be 125mm x 58.5mm x 7.4mm. Considering these, the iPhone 5 might be a little bit taller but thinner compared to the iPhone 4S.
