LG recently announced its latest Smart TV portal which it dubbed as Game World. The system was exclusively developed for the Cinema 3D Smart TV product lineup of the company. It offers users an easy-to-use method of searching, purchasing, and playing game applications.
The LG Home Entertainment Company chief, Havis Kwon, indicated that Game World is designed to offer a good resource of games that are appropriate for all users.
Most of the popular game titles will also be developed for use on the Cinema 3D Smart TV of LG, which will be optimized by Game World and allow the company to push the limits in 3D gaming while increasing its market.
The main menu of the portal has four listings, the Featured list, the Top Chart List, New list, and Genre list.
Recommendations are also offered by LG through the Featured tab if users are not looking for specific game titles. The Top Chart listing will also show the top paid and free games available for users if they go to the ‘what’s hot’ tab. The News section provides reports for users of the system while the Genre listing provides the categories of the games that are available for download.
Users can also look into the tutorial option that will offer instructions as well as manuals when using the LG Magic Remote. Users will also be able to take note of the games that they purchased earlier by checking the top part of the screen.
Most of the game titles offered on Game World are supposedly family-friendly, according to LG. The game portal will become available internally by September.
Earlier in the year, LG introduced an 84-inch 3D TV that offers a display with an eight million pixel HD resolution. This is four times bigger than the resolution of a typical HDTV. The 3D TV offering of LG features a pair of Cinema 3D glasses that are compatible with the other 3D products of LG.
