Ladies, grab your iPad…it’s official, Lancôme has launched their new iPad application guidelines, suggestions, developments and lessons on how to give yourself that “just-right” makeup feel. You’ll find ideas for any time of the day or any occasion.
The backdrop of the application looks similar to if the user was moving along a Lancôme makeup case. As a person slides along the case, various options are available for selection that range from a “What’s New” menu down to more specific options, that include tips from various industry professionals that describe new trends in the industry.
Many of the Lancôme application menu items even include videos that can be followed by the user for better understanding of a presented concept.
One unique and innovative option that Lancôme has made available is the “Create Your Own Style” section. Here users can upload face-shots of themselves and actually apply different tones/hues of makeup to the picture. This provides a great way for Lancôme to help people identify an idea of their own style before even stepping into a store.
In addition to the “Create Your Own Style” section, Lancôme also developed an area where users can answer several questions, and based on those answers, the company will provide suggestions on different makeup types.
Users have commented that one feature of the app is a bit irritating which includes a series of additional tutorial videos that offer decent advise, but are a bit too animated and way too enthusiastic.
Overall though the Lancôme app is very well designed and can be a useful tool for many.
