Ivy Bridge Coming to Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook

Samsung is reportedly planning to upgrade the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabooks to the Ivy Bridge processor of Intel. According to the company the slim and light fifteen inch laptop will feature the 1.7GHz Core i5 processor of Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) although it did not reveal its possible price tag and release date. Aside from the Ivy Bridge processor the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabooks will also feature an enhanced HD 4000 GPU and an HM75 Express chipset.

The Samsung Series 9 Ultrabooks will also come with an 8GB Ram although the solid state drive storage of the device will remain at 128GB while the display will still have a resolution of 1600x900. Despite using an older chipset the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabooks has received a number of notable reviews from observers due to its slim design and bigger screen display. The screen of the device is bigger compared to the 13-inch displays of most ultrabooks in the market since it comes with a fifteen inch screen.

These areas on the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook are considered below par for some industry watchers.

Some industry watchers have indicated that the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabooks is not convenient to type in accurately for a long period of time due to the it keyboard. The track pad may also be inaccurate despite being large and soft. It may also be necessary to enhance the speakers of the device.

For the moment it appears uncertain when the Samsung Series 9 Ultrabook will be offered in the market although some industry watchers have hinted that it may have a price tag of around $1,500.
