It appears that reports that hinted at a May introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S3 may be accurate. This comes as Samsung gas reportedly released invitations to a media launch event on May 3. The media launch event will be held in London and expectations are high that the South Korean company will introduce the Samsung Galaxy S3 into the market. The invitation simply tells guests to meet the next Galaxy.

For the moment information about the features of the Samsung Galaxy S3 are based on reports that have emerged in recent weeks. The smartphone is the successor to the popular Samsung Galaxy S2, which was released last year. Together with the original Samsung Galaxy S, sales of the two versions of the smartphone have reached thirty million units.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 is a much-anticipated device that is expected to offer good competition to the iPhone of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL). The reported launch event for the Samsung Galaxy S3 comes prior to the launch of the iPhone 5, which is also expected to happen before the end of the year.
