HTC One V Released in UK Market by April 23

Reports have indicated that the HTC One V is set to be released in the UK market on April 23 by HTC (TPE:2498). This was revealed recently by HTC together with its retail partners in the United Kingdom. This mid-level smartphone follows the earlier release of the HTC One S and the HTC One X.

The HTC One V will be made available through Carphone Warehouse (LON:CPW) for free with a service contract with Vodafone (LON:VOD), Orange or O2. However the HTC One V will also be available without the contract at a higher price tag. The two-year contract for this upcoming HTC smartphone will require a monthly fee of £13.50 while the contract-free version will cost around £230, which is around $365.

Despite not having a quad-core processor like the HTC One X, some observers still consider the HTC One V as a notable HTC smartphone at the mid-level market that has a similar style as the HTC Legend

The upcoming HTC One V is the cheapest smartphone in the One series of HTC that features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 by 480, 1GHz processor, and an internal storage of 4GB. However the internal storage of the upcoming HTC One V is expandable up to 32GB through the microSD memory card slot. The upcoming HTC One V also offers a 512MB RAM.

The HTC One V also features a five-megapixel camera that is reportedly capable of recording 720p HD videos. The upcoming entry to the One Series of HTC will use the Ice Cream Sandwich Android 4.0 operating system and the latest HTC Sense 4.0 customized user interface.

For the moment the HTC One V is not yet available in the United States and the release schedule has yet to be revealed by the company from Taiwan.

Interested customers in the US can still purchase the upcoming HTC One V through a number of online retailers but they will have pay higher price tag due to the delivery and other charges for the upcoming entry to the One series of HTC.
