HP TouchPad Go Posted Then Removed from EBay

A unit of the HP TouchPad Go was reportedly made available for sale at eBay (NASDAQ:EBAY). This device is a seven-inch version of the HP TouchPad tablet.It appears that this device from HP (NYSE:HPQ) was reportedly taken out of eBay. It remains uncertain if it elicited some interest among tech enthusiasts prior to its removal from eBay.

The HP TouchPad Go reportedly had a price tag of $700 before it was taken out of eBay. This particular device was never released into the market and was supposed to be faster compared to the bigger version of the tablet.

The report on its appearance on eBay emerged only recently as it indicated that it was a pre-release model of eth HP TouchPad Go. The $700 price tag of the tablet was higher compared to the last pricing of the 32GB 9.7-inch version of the device, which was sold at around $200. The price tag was even higher than the original price tag of the 32GB model of the HP TouchPad.

The HP TouchPad Go would have been a significant investment for anyone who could have purchased it prior to its removal from eBay. The tablet was reportedly slimmer compared to the discontinued version of the tablet. The HP TouchPad Go featured a seven-inch screen with a 1024 by 768 resolution and 32GB internal storage. The device was reportedly 3G-friendly as well.

The 1.5 GHz Snapdragon microprocessor of the HP TouchPad Go was also faster compared to the original nine-inch version of the device although the white-colored edition also had a 1.5GHz microprocessor and 64GB flash storage.

According to previous reports, the HP TouchPad Go was supposed to feature a 5MP camera at the back aside from the 1.3MP camera in front. It also featured Bluetooth 2.1 support and GPS.

It remains uncertain whether the reported HP TouchPad Go attracted some attention from bidders prior to its removal from eBay although it did attract the attention of a number of industry watchers.
