Free Casing with Pre-Ordered HTC EVO 4G LTE

The availability of the HTC EVO 4G LTE in the market was delayed due to a dispute between Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) and HTC (TPE:2498) that resulted to the US Customs temporarily holding its release in the US market. Although this delay was beyond the control of Sprint (NYSE:S), the company was in an apologetic mood as it offered free casings for consumers who pre-ordered the upcoming HTC EVO 4G LTE.

According to reports, the HTC EVO 4G LTE was already being delivered together with a free case as well as a letter from the company that thanked customers who have waited for its arrival in the US market.

The letter from Sprint thanked the consumers for the patience in waiting for the release of the HTC EVO 4G LTE. The company also offered the accessory as a token of appreciation and gratitude of the company.

The patent dispute was the main reason for the delay in the release of the HTC EVO 4G LTE into the US market.

The upcoming HTC device is the most-recent entry to the smartphone lineup of Sprint. The device will feature Long Term Evolution or LTE network support which offers faster uploads and downloads of data. Aside from the HTC EVO 4G LTE, the release of the HTC One X was also delayed due to the dispute.

The HTC EVO 4G LTE and the HTC One X will come with the Android 4.0 operating system along with the latest version of the HTC Sense custom UI. The HTC EVO 4G LTE will also feature an 8MP camera, ImageSense app, and a 720p HD Super LCD display screen.

The HTC EVO 4G LTE will also feature the 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Krait processor of Qualcomm (NASDAQ:QCOM), which is supposedly powerful enough to offer a smooth applications and user interface support. Offering the casing with the device shows that Sprint still takes the welfare of their customers into consideration.
