Digite, the company responsible for developing and creating the life cycle management products for lean or agile applications, made an announcement of a free offering to non-profits. The product that they are providing without cost is its Lean or Agile Project Management software called Swift-Kanban. The company is also introducing the assimilation of Swift Kanban and Atlassian's Jira to direct helpdesk functions and developer issue handling to the Kanban board.
Swift-Kanban uses David J. Anderson's developed method known as Kanban. This aids organizations in becoming leaner in developing their products and in their communication by using very visual management. The result of the method is the delivery of services and products in the quickest time and in the highest quality.
Several of Swift-Kanban's main features consists of a visual Kanban Board that is made of drag-n-drop cards that are color coded, to-do lists, work-item classifications, metrics, reports and dashboards. Due to its visual nature, the web-based product lets its users see their workflow with notes similar to post-its that are placed on the Kanban board. Every note represents a stage in the work process in which the users' tasks may flow.

Users are allowed to make customized dashboard views that will be available for every member of the team. They can also make lanes for every task. Furthermore, they can pre-define a set of checklists and activities for every type of card. They can then incorporate attachments, audit logs, discussion threads, notifications, rich text editing, role-based security and Inbox.
Although Swift-Kanban is currently being utilized by many developers and makers of software, the company is still aiming to attract organizations that are not within the world of engineering. This is the reason why they are offering the product without any cost to non-profit organizations. It has several competitors in the market with the top ones including Trello, Basecamp and Sprintly.
