It appears that the iPhone 4S of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) will be offered by another service provider in China aside from China Unicom. China Unicom is reportedly offering the iPhone 4S free of charge when users sign up for a long-term service contract.
The iPhone 4S of Apple will be offered into the Chinese market by China Unicom soon however it appears that these devices may not be compatible with the network of another service provider that is set to offer the device as well.
The latest version of the iPhone of Apple is set to be offered by China Telecom, the third biggest wireless service provider in the country. This was revealed through a report from the Wall Street Journal.
This report was confirmed by the regulatory body that provides the approvals for all devices used on the networks in China. The regulatory body revealed that a device that reportedly has the model number A1387 was given approval to use the CDMA-2000 network, which is the network being used by China Telecom.
It remains to be seen when the specific date will the iPhone 4S of Apple be made available for users in China. However, it appears that China Telecom and Apple may already have an agreement to offer the Apple iPhone 4S to more potential consumers in the country.
Apple view China as among the best emerging market for consumer electronics. This view is reportedly shared by a number of technology firms.
The latest model of the iPhone 4S for China will reportedly be available for use on the network of China Unicom, which would offer Chinese consumers the option to select which mobile service provider they would sign up with. China Unicom was initially the only service provider in China to offer the iPhone 4S of Apple. It remains to be seen if the latest iPhone model of Apple will become the leading smartphone in the Chinese market in the near future.
