Brian White, an analyst from Topeka Capital Markets, said in an interview with Washington Post and Bloomberg papers, that the release of the highly anticipated iPhone 5 may have a major change from the current rumors. White specifically pointed to a September release instead of a June or October launch.
White emphasized that the upcoming iPhone may be released during the Fall season specifically in the month of September. However, he did not give a specific reason as to why he thinks that Apple will most likely opt for a September launch. But he seemed firm that a June launch may not be possible since his basis for the June prediction came after he visited Apple's China and Taiwan plants where the 6th generation iPhone is already prepared for production.
Aside from the September launch that White reiterated, he also mentioned several features that he thinks will become a part of the iPhone 5. In particular, he pointed to a new display, design and a lot more. Overall, if all of the features White predicts the next Apple smartphone will have comes true, then the iPhone 5 will surely be one heck of a device!

Several analysts think that the simple reason for the September launch is that it would be challenging for Apple to unveil the newest iPhone in the month of June. But, there are also others who are still not convinced with the September launch because it will be a different turn of events for Apple which has always released the previous iPhones either in the month of June or October. Moreover, some also think that releasing the phone in September is not feasible because it will mean that Apple will lose out some of the holiday sales since the phone will already be three months old by the time the holiday season begins.
Despite the doubts of a September release, it may still be a huge possibility because it will give Apple plenty of time to create a new phone while letting them benefit from the back to school consumers that will most likely be iPhone buyers.
At this point, there is no telling as to the exact date of the iPhone 5's launch since Apple may launch its newest smart phone in any of the month for the remainder of this year.

A major redesign is anticipated in the 2012 release of Apple's iPhone, the iPhone 5. Ming Chi Kuo, analyst of KGI securities, said that the reports may be true that the iPhone 5 will only be 7.9 millimeters thick most especially if it will be made of the rumored liquid metal casing.

Liquid metal is not really liquid. It is actually a combination of nickel, titanium, zirconium and copper which can create a tight and tough finish that feels very smooth just like liquid or glass. The technology was discovered in 1992 at the California Institute of Technology. PC World said that Apple bought the exclusive rights to the liquid metal technology so that they can utilize it in their 2012 products.

iPhone 5's casing is not the only feature that will be smaller. Valuewalk.com reports that a mini nano-SIM may also be headed to the phone. The sim is known as the third smallest sim compared to the micro-SIM that is currently used in some devices. With the nano-SIM, the phone will have more room for other additional features.

A Tapei-based analyst recently said that the tech giant Apple Inc. will most probably utilize display technology supplied by Japanese instead of Taiwanese panel makers. The display is for the upcoming iPhone 5 and it was chosen so that they can get a slimmer appearance for the next generation gadget.

Brian White, the analyst, said that the latest iPhone 5 will be the biggest product cycle upgrade. In other words, there will a major upgrade on the iPhone 5 when compared to the iPhone 4S. In addition, White said that many look forward to an iPhone 5 that features a 4-inch display screen, which is slightly larger than that of the existing iPhone 4S screen. There are rumors for months already about a unibody iPhone design and even during the time of the iPhone 4S. While the unibody design was not featured in the iPhone 4S, many believe that there is a huge probability that it will be featured in the iPhone 5.

Integrating the unibody design in the iPhone 5 will make it possible for Apple to increase the size of the display without having a generally larger device.
