Aside from Sprint (NYSE:S), another US-based mobile service provider will be offering the BlackBerry Torch 9850 of Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM). US Cellular has announced that it will offer the all-touch display screen device from RIM by August 26. The BlackBerry Torch 9850 will have a price tag of $199.99 after the mail-in rebate of $100. This price tag will require a 24-month data plan.

The BlackBerry Torch 9850 features a screen measuring 3.7 inches with an 800 by 480 resolution. The device also feature a 5MP camera which is capable of recording 720p HD videos and runs on the BlackBerry 7 OS which provides enhanced graphics as well as a faster browser.

Some observers have also noted that the camera of the device is also capable of clear and sharp images. The device also features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The BlackBerry Torch 9850 is among the latest set of BlackBerry devices that RIM has introduced in the market. The smartphone reportedly features dual-mode functionality. This will allow the BlackBerry Torch 9850 to be utilized on either a GSM network or a CDMA network, which facilitates its use in any network around the world.

Some of the apps that are preloaded into the device include BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry Podcasts, BlackBerry Maps, and BlackBerry App World. Observers have indicated that the browser of the BlackBerry Torch 9850 has seen some improvement with the BlackBerry OS 7. However the capability of selecting the search engine through the URL has impressed a number of observers while the loading speed of the sites were notable for the BlackBerry Torch 9850.
