Users have three internal storage options including 16GB, 32GB and 64GB although it can be expanded through a microSD memory card slot. A keyboard dock can also be attached into the device while the PadFone Stylus Headset accessory will allow users to benefit from the use of a stylus or use the headset to make voice calls through the device.
These features on the Asus PadFone were initially introduced by the company during the Mobile World Congress that was held in Barcelona last February. The 8MP camera of the device also features a Fuji Image processor along with five element lens.
The connectivity options of the Asus PadFone include HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.0, and HDMI out. The device uses the latest Android version, the Android 4.0 or the Ice Cream Sandwich Android.
Even as delays were caused by production issues of the processor for the Asus PadFone, industry watchers are hoping that this will improve soon so that the device will finally reach other markets outside of Taiwan.
