The upcoming HTC One S is expected to be released by T-Mobile within two weeks time. Although no official announcements were made by the company in connection to the price tag of the upcoming smartphone, the upcoming HTC One S is going to be the first Android 4.0-powered smartphone for T-Mobile. Leaked reports have indicated that the mobile service provided may announce the official launch date along with the price tag of the upcoming HTC One S soon.
However a leaked screenshot revealed that April 25 was encircled by the company, which may be the launch date of the latest smartphone offering of HTC (TPE:2498).
The upcoming HTC One S was initially unveiled during the Mobile World Congress and T-Mobile revealed that it will be supporting the upcoming HTC device. The smartphone was already released in a number of countries in Europe and has received positive reviews among users of the device.
Despite the positive reactions from users of the HTC One S, some users have reportedly indicated that the device is facing a problem that leaves the casing of the device chipped even though they were not dropped by the users. Once the black casing of the HTC One S is chipped, silver marks appear on the device.
However it appears that this chipping problem is limited to the black version of the HTC One S as no complaints were raised by users of the grey versions of the device. The ceramic finish of the black HTC One S is made using the micro arc oxidation process while the grey version using a different finish.
The price tag of the upcoming HTC One S remains uncertain although some speculations have pointed to a possible price tag of around $200. The upcoming device offering of T-Mobile is facing competition from the HTC One X of Sprint (NYSE:S), which will likely keep customers from switching from Sprint to T-Mobile.
The upcoming HTC One S will feature a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display, 8MP camera, the Android 4.0 operating system and the latest HTC Sense user interface.
