The upcoming Trinity laptops will reportedly be manufactured by Compal. The super-slim laptop offering of AMD will supposedly offer better performance in terms of graphics and will provide users with a better battery life.
The Trinity laptops will reportedly be released by the company sometime in the midpoint of this year. AMD has also revealed that the Trinity laptops will have price tag of around $600 up to around $800.
Existing models of the Ultrabook have a price tag of at least $900 and can go up by twice this price. The price tag for the Trinity laptops will likely spell the difference in the choice of consumers when they will consider purchasing an ultra-slim laptop.
According to AMD, the Trinity laptops will outclass its competition due to the enhanced graphics performance, which is fifty percent better than its competition, along with the battery life that is supposedly longer by around twelve hours. Some industry watchers have indicated that the competition being mentioned by AMD is the Ultrabook of Intel.
The latest chips being offered by AMD will reportedly increase the performance for every watt b twofold in comparison to the existing Llano chips, still from AMD.
Intel has led the market for chips for a very long time and it appears that AMD may be able to get one over its rival with the Trinity laptop. The enhanced graphics performance and battery life along with the lower starting price will likely give the laptops of AMD the edge that it would need to give some competition to the Ultrabooks of Intel.
Some industry watchers are also looking forward to a reduction in prices for ultra-slim laptops with the low price tag of the Trinity laptops.
