Even as the Samsung Galaxy SIII has been unveiled in an event held in London recently, reports on the upcoming iPhone 5 of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) have continued to emerge. Unnamed sources have suggested that the latest version of the Apple iPhone will feature a four-inch display since it will have a slimmer and longer body.
The iPhone 5 will reportedly be around ten millimeters longer compared to the iPhone 4S although it will be slimmer by around two millimeters. The width of the upcoming iPhone 5 will be the same although the screen will be bigger compared to the 3.5 inches of the current model of the device.
The supposed longer screen of the iPhone 5 would make some changes in the aspect ratio of the display of the device although it will give users more screen space for games and watching videos. The design on the front of the iPhone 5 will not change although a metal panel will be positioned at the back that stretches from under the camera down to the bottom part of the device. The Gorilla Glass 2 technology will also be used on the latest of the iPhone of Apple.

Another feature that the upcoming iPhone 5 will reportedly have is a dock connector that has a smaller number of pins compared to those found on the other products of the company. The reported connector to the upcoming iPhone 5 will have a design similar to the shape of a pill.
Reports about the upcoming iPhone 5 have been circulating around the net for some time already. Some of the reports have repeated a number of features that were mentioned in earlier reports. Even with the increase in the number of reports, Apple has not issued any statements in connection to these reports.
This resulted to more speculations on possible features that will be offered by the upcoming iPhone 5 of Apple.
